Is studying that difficult? Yes, but it can be fun at the same time. I still don’t understand how I went through those weird formulas, and survived, though. Those mathematics problems, economics curves, or econometrics stages were unfamiliar to me. The only thing I knew was, doing my best and asking everyone knew better than me.

It was a blessing in disguise, that the more difficult the problem was, the more chances I got to admire you. Just Imagine! At your age, the same as mine, you were given with such adorable understanding of sophisticated ‘languages’ of quantitative subjects. I remembered you were explaining the basic of econometric models of prediction. It was so obvious, yet I didn’t understand.

I was distracted by your handsome smile, polite gestures, and intellectual looking. Wisconsin PhD graduate, huh? Those New Yorker dialect and casual outfits simply fitted you. I am so sorry if you found paper tests showed very bad results, supposed those were mine. It was so difficult to just ignore your cool smile while you were teaching.

But, latter on, I finally understand what econometric methods are for. It took time as well as maturity to understand the application of those stages you mentioned. So, you don’t have to worry about the natural looking you have. It might bother your students for some times. However, we are forced to focus only on the subject. At least, we would fight to survive. We will slowly learn every concept you’ve taught us by thinking of your hospitality.

I keep wondering how your life’s been, where you are, what makes your life happy, and how you love what you’ve been doing. In fact, I am still amazed by your vague picture, because to me, you are so handsome.
